Windy Hollow started as a pay fishing lake and a bait shop. Tom & Nancy Miller then opened Windy Hollow Restaurant in 1964. His brother, Hal Miller and his wife, Deanna, operated the restaurant from 1974 - 2017. Their daughter, Evelyn Miller, took over operations in 2017 and still operates the original restaurant. Evelyn and her daughter, Hallie McCarty, also operate Windy Hollow Biscuit House.
Windy Hollow has a long glorious past that we love to share!
Hal and Tom Miller were twins and spent much of their youth roaming the hills of Windy Hollow. Their father, TP Miller, built Miller's Lake in the 1930's. In 1958, renamed to Miller Lakes, it opened to the public. Their sister, Ione and her husband Jack Jones and their family operated Miller Lakes until the mid-1980s.
Much of our past has also been shared on our Facebooks pages.
